how do you send a messgae on the chat room?

Do you mean to a specific member? Look at the name of the member you want to send the message to and to the right should be a number, use the forward-slash key (/) and then the number (/2 or whatever number) then type!

E.g /2 Hey there!

There's also a help button for things like this just above the box in which you type.
